
Terms & Conditions
1. BOOKING + PAYMENTS
1.1 A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen event date.
1.2 A further 50% of the total balance is due four (4) weeks prior to the event date.
1.3 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the event date.
1.4 Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of any prior payments.
2. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS + RESCHEDULING
2.1 The 50% payment due at 4 weeks is refundable only if the event is cancelled more than 10 days before the scheduled event.
2.2 No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event.
2.3 In the case of a rescheduled event, all payments and payment terms still apply,
subject to our availability on the new date.
2.4 Any changes to the guest count must be confirmed no later than 7 days prior to the event. Reductions after this time will not be refunded.
3. DELIVERY, ACCESS + SET UP
3.1 Goose Catering requires a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time to fully set up buffets and grazing tables,
unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.2 All areas where the client requires the buffet or grazing table to be set up must be clear and accessible.
3.3 For BBQ events, a minimum of 1.5 hour is required for both set up and breakdown.
3.4 A flat, accessible outdoor space must be provided for BBQ events, along with space to erect a 3x3 metre marquee.
3.5 Access to water and electricity must be available when required. Any limitations must be disclosed at the time of booking.
4. STAFFING
4.1 Staff (e.g chefs, servers, bar staff) may be provided where agreed in your booking. Service times and staff numbers will be
confirmed in advance.
4.2 Additional hours requested on the day of the event will be subject to availability and may incur extra chargers.
4.3 Our staff will arrive in appropriate uniform unless a specific dress code is requested in writing.
4.4 The client must ensure that the working environment for staff is safe, hygienic and complies with basic health and safety standards.
4.5 Any abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff will result in immediate withdrawal of service, with no refund.
5. EQUIPMENT + HIRE
5.1 Any hire equipment (e.g serving platters, utensils, chafing dishes) remains the property of Goose Catering and must be returned or left behind in good condition.
5.2 Loss or damage to our equipment may incur additional charges.
6. FOOD SAFETY + ALLERGENS
6.1 While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from allergens. It is the responsibility of the client to inform all guests of this risk.
6.2 All dietary requirements and allergies must be communicated to us at least 10 days prior to the event.
6.3 Goose Catering accepts no liability for any allergic reactions if we have not been properly informed of allergies in writing before the event.
7. OUTDOOR EVENTS + WEATHER
7.1 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure there is adequate shelter for the event in the case of bad weather.
7.2 If an outdoor event cannot proceed due to adverse weather and no alternative arrangements are in place, no refunds will be issued.
8. WASTE DISPOSAL
8.1 Goose Catering will remove any waste related to food preparation and service. Any Additional rubbish created by guests or other suppliers is the responsibility of the client.
9. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
9.1 The client is responsible for ensuring that the venue access is available and clear at the agreed set-up and breakdown times.
9.2 If delays are caused by venue restrictions or client miscommunication, Goose Catering is not liable for any disruption to service.
10. LIABILITY
10.1 Goose Catering holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
10.2 We are not liable for any damages or injury caused by the misuse of our equipment or consumption of food left unrefrigerated or consumed beyond the advised service time. For Buffets and Grazing tables this is no longer than 2 hours.
11. PHOTOGRAPHY + PROMOTION
11.1 Goose Catering reserves the right to photograph our food and set-ups at your event for marketing purposes. If you do not
consent, please let us know in writing prior to the event.
